service details

microblading
Microblading is a form of permanent makeup, also known also as feathering, 3D brows or waterproof brows. It involves a microblade (a sharp specially designed handtool) and cosmetic tattoo pigments. Custom shaping also known as mapping and a color match is always included. Your brow design can be fierce and on point or subtle and natural. Annie uses a comprehensive pigment line that accommodate all hair color, red, grey, taupe, blonde, black and can be customized for every shade in between.
Let's talk healing! Brows are bold at application, however, heal into a soft hair like effect. This service is ideal for the client who have no brow hair, sparse brow hair or is looking for an improvement in their natural brow shape.
A second application is necessary at 6-8 weeks. Future color touchups are at an additional (discounted) cost. Microblading can last up to 2+ years if well cared for. You will always have some remnants of microblading despite faded pigments.
-Healing Expectations: healing can be emotional - reasonable expectations are something that we will discuss repeatedly! Initial application brows will be bright and bold with some redness, aftercare protocol is critical to follow & prevent infections. Within 1 week you will naturally form scabs, allow them to peel and flake as needed (not appealing), clouding then occurs (color fades), followed by a bloom (color reappears) around 6-8 weeks. Touchup time and repeat the cycle!
-Pigment options: red/auburn, blondes, taupe, grey, brown (light-dark) and black

-Brows do not get shaved for microblading
-Pigmentation retention does depend upon your aftercare and health (medications)
-Use sunscreen on your pigment to extend its life
-Avoid retinol, brow tints (ammonia fades your pigment), and AHA's
Shaded/ombre/Powder Brows
Unlike microblading, shading does not use a manual hand tool. Rather cosmetic tattoo pigments are gently applied with a quiet tattoo machine. Immediately after application, your newly designed brows will be bold, however, pigments heal into a soft powdery makeup finish. This "fill" effect mimics the look of an eyebrow powder. Also known as ombre brows or powder brows.
Your brow design can be fierce and on point or subtle and natural. Annie uses a comprehensive pigment line that accommodates all hair color; red, grey, taupe, blonde, black and blended for customizes shades.

Shading options include adding onto a microblading brow reshape or as a stand alone service.
Natural brow shading is perfect for the client with a nice natural brow shape but wants to define their brow with an every day makeup look.

What service is best for my brows?
Good question! Yet another great reason to meet with Annie for your complimentary 15 minute consultation! She is happy to make recommendations and customize your brow experience.
A quick rule of thumb: microblading is best for clients with no brow hair or minimal brow hair and is ideal for anyone looking for a "natural" result. Microblading is also great for adding shape, definition and "filling" any missing hair from bulb, to arch & tail.
However, if you've been blessed with pretty good brows and are just tired of filling them in with makeup everyday...a powder brow (shaded brow) is all you will need to achieve a wake up & makeup look!

A combo brow (aka microblading & shading together), is generally what a client imagines (think Pinterest brow images) when trying to explain their ideal brow. A combo brow can redefine, reshape & fill! A one two punch to perfect brows!
Are your services considered a tattoo?
All of my services are considered to be a permanent cosmetic tattoo, thus all PMU (permanent makeup) artists are required to attain the appropriate state licensing & blood born pathogen training. Certification and training, however, is not mandated in Washington state. I truly believe that this oversight by the state is dangerous & that is exactly why you see & hear horror stories (scars, poor brow patterns, scary results and even infections). I have sought out the best in the business to receive education and certification from.

Scalp Micropigmentation | SMP
Scalp MicroPigmentation is a tattoo procedure designed to mimic the look of healthy hair follicles. Services include full scalp giving the illusion of a close buzz cut or density for thinning hair. Scalp scar treatment may be necessary prior to pigmentation (generally necessary following a hair replacement). Men & women enjoy the confidence gained from masking their thinning hair with this non-invasive, pain free and waterproof procedure. Consultations are always required prior to scheduling your SMP appointment. Several appointments may be necessary to achieve desired results.
-Healing expectations: A warm sensation & minor discomfort will be experienced following your appointment, there may be light scabbing.
Healing protocol is simple: do not wash for 48 hours, do not use alcohol based hair products. Annie will send your home with a free & clear shampoo and conditioner for your first wash.
-Pigment Options: blonde, grey, brown (med to dark) & black
-99% of clients state that there is no pain or discomfort, however, Annie does provide topical lidocaine for your comfort if needed.
-SMP does not stimulate hair growth nor does it cause thinning.
-Shaving your head or a section of your hair is not required.
do I need a consultation?
Consultations are an incredibly important aspect to proper understanding, trust and preparation for your services. Some of our services require a consultation prior to scheduling your application appointment.
All consultation fees are applied towards your future service.
-Payment plans must be agreed upon prior to scheduling your application appointments.
-Consultations for scar rejuvenation & SMP include a comprehensive care plan with payment options.
* ALL ink previously done by other artists require a consultation before we can commit to a touch-up or removal/lightening.
I'm nervous, Does it hurt?
Permanent cosmetic procedures can be uncomfortable. The majority of clients are taken aback by the odd sensation that their body is not used too.  A 5% topical lidocaine is applied before and during your procedures - this helps alleviate any harsh sensations. Many factors can attribute to your lidocaine experience - including hydration, your cycle and how your body reacts to lidocaine (think about the dentist). No two clients are the same, some doze off during their appointments and some still feel uncomfortable.
I promise to talk you through your entire process, keep you calm, relaxed and comfortable. Reasonable expectations help set the stage & alleviate your hesitations, thus a consultation is highly recommended.
Following your appointment preparation guidelines also play a large part in your appointment experience.
How long does it take?
Procedure time varies: as a general rule set aside 2 hours, however, some appointments take far less time. We highly encourage you not to arrive rushed and needing to get out the door. Please don't overbook yourself around your service appointment. FYI: you may experience redness and minor swelling, socializing after your appointment may not be entirely comfortable.

microneedling & scar rejuvenation
This paramedical art has been available for years, only recently is it gaining notoriety. Benefits include softening & smoothing of facial and body scars (including stretchmarks & acne); reducing facial lines and wrinkles, reducing hypo or hyper pigmentation (agespots).
Microchannels are introduced at 90 degrees with the aid of specialized PMU equipment, there is no tearing or cutting of the skin (which is what happens with a roller); Hyaluronic Acid is used to hydrate and support your skin during healing. Redness is likely to occur, as well as, a sunburned or tight feeling for several days as your skin is activated. Several appointments may be necessary to achieve maximum results.
Following the provided aftercare procedure is essential to healthy healing. Mineral makeup is highly encourage and is available for purchase or as a care set in the GLO Beauty Box.
-Healing expectations for GLO: expect to experience redness that will dissipate over 12 hours. Protocol is simple, gentle cleanse, followed by the provided aftercare for hydration. For a more intensive session, do not apply any makeup other than Youngblood for 48 hours. Deep wrinkles and scars will look like a "scratch" following a focused session. Camouflage of discoloration is a gorgeous finish.
-Healing expectations for Scars: expect mild discomfort (dress accordingly) that will follow all proper skin healing, tender, sloughing of dead skin cells, rejuvenation and repeat...

-Scars must be one year or older
-Custom Packages available at consultation
-No history of keloid scarring
Eyeliner
I believe that permanent cosmetics should enhance your natural beauty! Therefore, my repertoire includes very specific beauty services. I'd rather people wonder if you've had "work" done rather than the work be glaringly obvious (much like the subtly of botox...refreshed & youthful...not plastic & bizarre). Therefore, I only offer a natural lash enhancement eyeliner. I do not offer winged eyeliner, extended eyeliner or under-eye...a natural lash enhancement allows you to utilize makeup to create a cat eye when you want too or simply wakeup daily with a soft gorgeous eyeliner.
-Healing expectations: light swelling and perfect color after application, occasional bruising (rare), peeling (no scabs), clouding (lightening of pigment), bloom around 6-8 weeks (pigment reemerges).
-Pigment options: black, true black, grey, dark brown, emerald green, peacock blue

-Remove contacts prior to your appointment
-Discontinue lash serums 6 weeks prior to your appointment
-Other artists eyeliner: Touchups over other artists work require a consultation.
-Future touchups: To keep your eyeliner looking its best expect a touchup at 1 to 5 years.
-Shhhh... Annie only upgrades at your request: $100 each | Soft Lower Eyeliner | Soft Smoky Eyeshadow | Small Wing
Lip Blush | Lip Tint
Permanent lip tint (or lip blush) provides definition to your lip borders & a uniformed lip pigment. As we age our lip borders and natural lip color can become softer, blotchy and less defined. Lip blush will initially be very bold (like a lipstick), but quickly heals into a soft shade that is easy to gloss or lipstick over. For example, red lip blush will look like the perfect red lipstick upon application, but heals into a cherry popsicle kiss.
-Healing expectations: bright, bold & swollen initially, decreases over several days, peels around day 4, sensitivity may continue, clouds (decreased pigment), blooms around 8 weeks (pigment emerges).
-Pigment options: from natural to bold, wine to mauve- I have invested in a wide variety of the highest quality vegan pigments available!
-COLD SORES/Herpes: Please read contraindications closely, especially if you are prone to cold sores/Herpes outbreaks. Premedication is required if you have a history of cold sores.
-Future touchup: Expect the need for future touchups between year 1 - 5.  Lips are resilient but we use and abuse them!
-Not harsh lipliners please - not my fave
3D areola tattoo
Areola restoration is ideal for any client, male or female...wanting to enhance the color and definition of their areola for any reason (breast surgery, scar tissue, etc...).
For complete design and restoration post-mastectomy a special preparation appointment is recommended. This exciting time together leaves you with the full experience of measurement, placement and watercolor painting of your new areola/3D nipple design...
-Healing expectations: just like any permanent makeup or tattoo expect a period of slight redness and tenderness, followed by some peeling, lightening and reemerging of color. Touchups may be necessary to build the beautiful desired pigment results.
-Pigment options: while this is a fully customizable service, I  work with a comprehensive pigment line designed just for areola reconstruction. This amazing line allows for full dimension and 3D illusion for every skin type!

-Scar rejuvenation may be required to prep the canvas prior to tattooing.
-Pigmentation over other artists works require a consultation
-Doctors notes required if you are in current cancer treatment
